Gen Kelsang LachpaResident TeacherKelsang Lachpa is a Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington. He has been ordained for over fourteen years. He is an experienced and warm-hearted teacher, inspiring others to find lasting peace and happiness through the practice of meditation and Buddhism. Lachpa is known for his thoughtful insights into Buddha’s teachings and his joyful practical approach to teaching.
Offering Our Faith • Unguided Retreat
Celebrating our precious Spiritual Guide
At Kadampa centres around the world, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we offer him our faith through using the special prayer ‘Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples’ and collecting our Guru’s name mantra.
In this retreat we will be using the sadhana ‘The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra’ and the special request prayer ‘Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples’. We will conclude the retreat with ‘Offering to the Spiritual Guide’ chanted prayers.
Prayer booklets will be available at the Centre for use during the sessions.
Pot-luck lunch
Bring along a plate of vegetarian or vegan food to share for lunch.
COST
Each session is free of charge, just drop in to any or all of them. If you are able to attend only one session, do try to come to the first one as it includes an introduction.
Tea and coffee will be provided.

There is no need to book for this lecture, simply walk-in on the night. We accept payment via cash, bank transfer and credit/debit card via EFTPOS (including payWave) or online (via Stripe).
