Suitable for everyone, our meditation courses and retreats in Wellington are an ideal way to experience the benefits of Buddhist meditation and mindfulness training. These weekend events allow us the chance to explore the teachings in more depth than is possible at our drop-in meditation classes. Learn how to use Buddhist wisdom and meditation techniques to solve daily problems, improve relationships and find authentic happiness. Events include talks, guided meditations and Q&A.

No. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits that come from having a peaceful mind. Buddhists respect all people and are happy to help anyone regardless of whether they subscribe to another faith, or to none.

No. All you need is the wish to improve yourself and the quality of your life.

Nothing in particular, however if you wish to take notes bring a pen and notepad.

No particular clothing is required.

We usually meditate in chairs, making it accessible and comfortable for everyone.

$14 per class unless otherwise stated or $80 per month for unlimited classes and day courses with a Centre Membership. As a non-profit organisation, all class and membership fees go towards supporting the Centre and branch classes.

Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington has been relocated to Khandallah, in a tranquil and lush location yet close to public transport and parking. Our new address is 2 Ardross Avenue.

We are currently looking for a new location for our Centre. There are a multitude of possibilities for what our future Centre will look like and where it will be located, and we would love your guidance to find the solution that best serves the needs and wishes of our community and of Wellington as a whole.
