    Kelsang Lachpa is a Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington. He has been ordained for over fourteen years. He is an experienced and warm-hearted teacher, inspiring others to find lasting peace and happiness through the practice of meditation and Buddhism. Lachpa is known for his thoughtful insights into Buddha’s teachings and his joyful practical approach to teaching.

Healing Ourself and Others – Medicine Buddha Empowerment & Teaching

Medicine Buddha is the embodiment of the healing power of all enlightened beings. His function is to liberate living beings from outer and inner sickness.

On this special day, Kelsang Lachpa will grant the blessing empowerment of Medicine Buddha. We will be guided in a beautiful meditation during which we will receive the blessings of Medicine Buddha, the embodiment of all enlightened healing energy.

During the afternoon, Kelsang Lachpa will explain a special daily practice we can engage in to free ourselves from our negative minds and awaken our own potential to become an enlightened healing Buddha.

the empowerment will not be available to view online. The commentary can be viewed online, but only by those who have previously recieved Medicine Buddha empowerment. To receive online access please email

Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington has been relocated to Khandallah, in a tranquil and lush location yet close to public transport and parking. Our new address is 2 Ardross Avenue.
