Faith and the Logical Mind • Friday Night Lecture
About the Evening Lecture
In our modern world we are being taught that there is an insurmountable rift between logic and faith, science and religion. However, Buddha famously said “Don’t take my word for it. Try it for yourself.”
Buddha was an inner scientist, a scientist of his mind. His teachings are a perfectly verifiable, reproducible and reliable recipe for attaining happiness. When we put these teachings into practice, testing them, we will come to deeply know their truth. In this way, we will develop unshakeable faith in these teachings that comes from logic and our own personal experience.
In this evening lecture Resident Teacher Kelsang Lachpa will explain how anyone can develop stable faith that believes Buddha’s teachings to be true, admires them and deeply wishes to one day know their deepest meaning directly.
