Room for rent

Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington has a residential room to let.

KMC Wellington is a wonderful and peaceful place to live. The benefits of living in a Buddhist Centre for those interested in meditation and Buddhism are immense and much can be gained from living in a spiritual community.

The Centre is located less than 10 minutes walk from Khandallah Village and the Johnsonville train line, and the number 25 bus stops very close to the house.

The room can be furnished or unfurnished. There is a shared bathroom, kitchen, laundry and lounge.

Rent is $270 weekly and paid one week in advance. Included in the rent are utilities such as Wi-Fi, phone, hot water, power, gas and cleaning products. Also included in the rent is a Centre membership, which gives you access to most of our weekly meditation classes, study program classes, courses, retreats, evening talks and chanted prayers.

Living at the Centre is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a peaceful and friendly community. The Centre is non-smoking, alcohol-free and vegetarian. To reduce distraction and promote a mindful and meaningful way of living, we also keep it free from music, television and radio played out loud or outside your room.

It is not necessary to be Buddhist to live at the Centre. However applicants would need to respect the Centre’s activities and contribute to communal living, learning to live harmoniously with fellow housemates, caring for the Centre and helping out.

If you are interested in living at KMC Wellington, we would love to hear from you. For enquires and further information please contact our Admin Director Pagma on 022 050 2112 or admin@meditateinwellington.org
