Location: Ngaio Town Hall, 1 Ottawa Rd

Suitable for everyone, these walk-in classes offer practical methods to help everyone find inner peace, happiness and well-being through meditation and Buddhist wisdom. Each class is self-contained so you can drop-in any week. Beginners welcome.

Class Fee: $13 (unwaged $10) | Free for Centre Members

Mindfulness & the Healing Power of Meditation: August 20, 27 & September 3

Training in meditation and mindfulness have become increasingly recognised as an effective means to reduce stress, improve our quality of life and develop inner peace.
In this course we will learn how to use meditation and mindfulness to heal the body and mind, and to develop inner strength and resilience.

Fearless: September 10, 17 & 24

Understand how to use challenges to develop inner strength and resilience.

Class Format

Each class begins with a guided breathing meditation to help settle the mind, let go of distractions and cultivate inner peace. The teacher will then give a talk based on the topic of the class series and explain how we can integrate beneficial ways of thinking into our busy daily lives. The class concludes with a second guided meditation so that we are confident to begin practising on our own.

Afterwards, there is an opportunity for questions and discussion, and a chance to talk to the teacher.
