ABOUT THE RETREAT
We all want more joy and happiness and less worry and stress. Mindfulness techniques enable us to connect directly to a more peaceful mind and to let go of sources of conflict and worry. The result is not only more happiness in our own life, but we will also be able to bring benefit and joy into the lives of others.
On this one day silent retreat we will have an opportunity to develop and improve our mindfulness skills both in and out of meditation, and to learn how to use these skills in everyday life. The retreat will be guided by Kelsang Shechog and is suitable for beginners as well as those who already have experience of meditation.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Kelsang Shechog is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington. She has dedicated her life to helping people solve their problems and find happiness through Buddha’s timeless instructions.
Shechog has spent many years developing Kadampa Meditation Centres where she has inspired many people through her kindness and loving example. Shechog is much loved for her gentle manner, inner strength and clear, skillful teachings.

Free for Centre members at Supporting membership and above. Booking is required.
This course will consist of guided meditation sessions with breaks for lunch and refreshments. Refreshments are provided, however bring our own lunch to enjoy at our Meditation Centre or take a short stroll to enjoy the nearby Island Bay cafes.
