Suitable for everyone, these walk-in classes offer practical methods to help everyone find inner peace, happiness and well-being through meditation and Buddhist wisdom. Each class is self-contained so you can drop-in any week. Beginners welcome.

Fearless: September 12, 19 & 26

In this course we will explore meditations and ways of thinking derived from Buddha’s teachings that give us confidence and inner strength in seemingly fear-inducing situations.
​B​ecome fearless in the face of adversity and deal with our negative emotions more confidently​.​

The Habits of Happy People: October 3, 10, 17 & 24

We can all follow thoughts and ideas that lead to happiness rather than unhappiness. Simply understood, happy people have beautiful minds. In this four-week course we will explore how to develop positive states of mind, which lead to mental stillness, inner resilience and happiness. Become a truly happy person regardless of life’s difficulties and an inspiring force for the people around you.

The Basics of Buddhism: October 31, November 7 & 14

Buddha lived more than 2,500 years ago, but his example and teachings still resonate. In this course we will learn essential principles of Buddhism and how we can gain personal benefit from applying these teachings to our modern life.

A Life Without Stress: November 21, 28, December 5 & 12

Through the practice of meditation we can let go of stress, transform difficult situations into opportunities for growth, and become the person we want to be. In this course we will receive simple and practical advice on how to use meditation and mindfulness to live a life without stress.

Class Format

Each class begins with a guided breathing meditation to help settle the mind, let go of distractions and cultivate inner peace. The teacher will then give a talk based on the topic of the class series and explain how we can integrate beneficial ways of thinking into our busy daily lives. The class concludes with a second guided meditation so that we are confident to begin practising on our own.

Afterwards there is opportunity for questions and discussion, and a chance to talk to the teacher.
