Who is Amitayus?
Amitayus is the Buddha of long life, merit and wisdom. ‘Amitayus’ means immeasurable life span. When we open our heart to Buddha Amitayus’ guidance, he will help us increase our wisdom and merit (our ability to fulfill our wishes). Most importantly, he will help us protect our most precious possession — our precious human life. Through his blessings, we can increase our energy for practising Dharma as well as our lifespan through which we can complete the spiritual path.
What is an empowerment?
An empowerment is a blissful guided meditation through which we make a deep connection with this inspiring Buddha and receive his healing, joyful and protective blessings.

About the NZ Dharma Celebration
The New Zealand Dharma Celebration is an annual event where people from the whole of NZ have a chance to come together and celebrate the teachings of Modern Buddhism in a peaceful yet vibrant environment. This Celebration is characterised by joy, positive energy and the kindness of others as it is all run by volunteers.
During this event, we will receive special teachings and meditations on living a happy, meaningful and positive life derived from the ancient wisdom of Buddha, presented in modern and practical ways that suit our busy lives.
