Pizza And Movie Night!

About the evening

Join us for a night of great company, pizza and a movie!

The evening begins with pizza and refreshments from 5.30pm. We then head through to the meditation room for a screening of the play ‘The Life of Buddha’ which concludes with a brief commentary about the story of Buddha from the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

‘The Life of Buddha’ is a special dramatic presentation, inspired by Venerable Geshe-la and his teachings, that visually captures the essence of Buddha Shakyamuni’s life. Based on the twelve principal deeds of Buddha, it reveals in a clear and moving way the essential characteristics of a spiritual life.

This is a film adaptation of a play performed every year at the NKT International Summer Festival in England. It is both deeply inspiring and entertaining and provides an excellent insight into the Buddhist way of life and the path to enlightenment. A must see for anyone who is interested in Buddhism.

There will be vegetarian, vegan and wheat-free pizza options as well as non-alcoholic drinks available.
