Guru Yoga & Mandala Offering Retreat • Advanced Unguided Retreat • Fri 25 – Sun 27 Sep

About the Unguided Retreat

In this retreat we focus on the preliminary practices of accumulating merit, or positive energy, by making mandala offerings and receiving powerful blessings by engaging in the Guru Yoga practice of Je Tsongkhapa.
Mandala offering is an offering of the entire universe visualized as a Pure Land, with all its inhabitants as pure beings. By making mandala offerings we create the cause to be reborn in such a pure world.
Through receiving Wisdom Buddha’s powerful blessings, we can easily and swiftly make progress in and complete our practice of the stages of the path of both Sutra and Tantra. Through this we can fulfil our own and others’ wishes.
In each session we recite Offering to the Spiritual Guide prayers with a pause to make mandala offerings.
Please note this is an unguided advanced retreat. If you haven’t attended this retreat before it is highly recommended to attend the Friday night introductory talk. However if you can’t, please contact the Centre on education@meditateinwellington.org to let us know which retreat sessions you are coming to, and aim to arrive approximately 30 minutes before the session begins so we can give you some essential instructions.
Wishfulfilling Jewel chanted prayers with tsog will replace the third retreat session on Sunday.
