Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka Counting Retreat • Special Evening Talk

About the Talk and the Retreat

At the 2022 NKT-IKBU International Spring Festival in Malaga, Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong shared an important instruction from Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. Geshe Kelsang asked Gen-la Dekyong to give the transmission and commentary to the mantra of Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka, encouraging all New Kadampa Tradition Centres and practitioners to engage in retreat to collect 100,000 recitations of this mantra. By reciting this mantra with faith, and a pure motivation we will place very strong potentials within our mind to easily accomplish all spiritual attainments. This retreat also includes the Vajradaka Burning Offering, a blessed and powerful method for purifying our negative karma.

At this special talk, Gen Kelsang Shechog will share essential instructions from the 2022 NKT-IKBU Spring Festival relevant to this precious retreat, and the many benefits to be gained through participating.

We will then have the opportunity to engage in a Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka counting retreat at Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington. Together we will draw closer and closer to our Root Guru, and create very powerful actions that will cause Kadam Dharma to flourish in our hearts and throughout the world.

For those unable to engage in the full counting retreat, but would still like to use this opportunity to recite this precious mantra, you can join us for a day or even a week or more. The retreat starts with an introduction the evening of Tuesday 27 December and runs until Tuesday 17 January. More information and prices for the retreat are coming soon.
