Yangren’s teachings are joyful, clear and down-to-earth, making it easy for students to take the teachings to heart and put into practice.

Suitable for everyone, these walk-in classes offer practical methods to help everyone find inner peace, happiness and well-being through meditation and Buddhist wisdom. Each class is self-contained so you can drop-in any week. Beginners welcome. No booking required.

A different topic, or series, is taught every few weeks. See below for topics and dates.

Class Format

Each class begins with a simple guided meditation to make the mind peaceful and let go of distractions. The teacher will then give a talk based on the class topic, and explain how we can integrate beneficial ways of thinking into our busy daily lives. The class concludes with a second meditation so that we are confident to practise on our own.

Afterwards, there is an opportunity for questions and refreshments.

In this three-week course we will explore how to develop three positive states of mind which lead to mental stillness, inner resilience and happiness. Become a truly happy person regardless of life’s difficulties and an inspiring force for the people around you.

Learn meditations that empower you to take back control of your mind and overcome procrastination.

In this series, we will learn how to set up a daily meditation practice for a happy life and stable self-esteem, how to energize and uplift the mind, and find direction in our life.
