Suitable for everyone, these walk-in classes offer practical methods to help everyone find inner peace, happiness and well-being through meditation and Buddhist wisdom. Each class is self-contained so you can drop-in any week. Beginners welcome. No booking required.

A different topic, or series, is taught every few weeks. See below for topics and dates.

Class Format

Each class begins with a simple guided meditation to make the mind peaceful and let go of distractions. The teacher will then give a talk based on the class topic, and explain how we can integrate beneficial ways of thinking into our busy daily lives. The class concludes with a second meditation so that we are confident to practise on our own.

Afterwards, there is an opportunity for questions and refreshments.

Topics & Dates

Be introduced to simple meditation and mindfulness techniques as well as practical advice on how to maintain an experience of inner peace and well-being in daily life.

Inner peace and contentment are elusive. We restlessly seek something or someone to bring us the happiness we long to experience.

In this series we will use Buddha’s timeless wisdom, to guide us towards unravelling the mechanisms in our mind that cause us to experience painful feelings of dissatisfaction and craving. We will explore clear and compelling methods to develop stable and enduring peace of mind.

The best way to enjoy a happy and meaningful life is to abandon negative attitudes and to think more positively. Buddha’s teachings give us the wisdom to identify and let go of the perspectives that keep us stuck in habitual, negative patterns of thought. By developing the skill to authentically transform our mind through meditation we can change the way we view our self, others and the world around us, and in this way become more flexible, light and happy in daily life.
