Topics & Dates

At present our mind moves from thought to thought without control. This state of inner turbulence is the basis of our anxiety and depression and makes our inner world cluttered and unpeaceful. Until we learn to declutter our mind, happiness and wellbeing are impossible.

In this series we will learn special meditations taught by Buddha that dissolve the turbulence and negativities away, and in this way reveal the natural peace and clarity of our mind.

When things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations, we tend to regard the situation itself as our problem and respond with frustration and resistance. But if we learn to maintain a peaceful mind we can remain happy all the time, regardless of circumstances.

On this course we will learn how to be happy and content in the face of daily challenges, principally through the practice of acceptance. We will also learn how by relying on patient acceptance towards others we can improve our relationships.

Connect with your own potential for inner resilience and unshakeable happiness. Over this course we will learn the methods to build a strong foundation for happiness and inner peace within our own mind, regardless of what is going on around us. Be empowered to rise above negative habits of mind, and learn how to overcome them with proven meditation techniques and by developing attitudes that support confidence and inner peace.

What is happiness and how can we find a reliable source of happiness? We tend to believe that we need things such as success, praise, status, looks, material possessions and so forth to be happy. Although we can definitely enjoy all of these, they cannot provide us with the pure lasting happiness we seek.

Buddha explains that the source of happiness is inner peace, and there are simple attitudes that bring inner peace, and we can all learn to cultivate these. On this course we will explore meditations and ways of thinking that uplift the mind. By carrying these with mindfulness into our day, we can maintain a light, joyful attitude whatever life throws our way.
