In our Monday classes with Kelsang Shechog learn simple methods to improve your inner peace, happiness and wellbeing through meditation and Buddhist techniques. Classes are self-contained, drop-in any week.

The Habits of Happy People: March 5, 12, 19, 26

The happiest people in this world have beautiful minds. Their successful lives are filled with lightness and joy and their relationships are fulfilling and harmonious. Even when life is challenging, their strong mind protects them from anxiety, depression and painful feelings.

This 4-week course in Modern Buddhism will explore positive thinking techniques of the world’s happiest people. Be guided through step-by-step instructions to uplifting states of mind, mental stillness and inner resilience. Become a truly happy person regardless of life’s difficulties and an inspiring force for the people around you.

Class Format

Each class begins with guided breathing meditation, to help settle the mind, let go of distractions and cultivate inner peace. Our Resident Teacher, Kelsang Shechog, will then give a practical teaching based on the topic of the class series and explain how we can integrate Buddha’s timeless wisdom into our busy daily lives. The class concludes with a guided meditation, designed to help us take the teaching to heart in such a way that we are confident in beginning to practice it on our own.

Afterwards there is opportunity for questions and discussion, and a chance to talk to the teacher and other students informally.
