Based on the extraordinary book The Oral Instructions of Mahamudra, visiting international teacher, Gen Dornying, will share the very essence of Buddha’s teachings of Sutra and Tantra. Gaining even the slightest experience of these blessed instructions will revolutionise your life, transforming the ordinary into a blissful path to full enlightenment.

This course will be a review of the advice given at this year’s international Summer Festival in the UK by Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong and Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, the General and Deputy Spiritual Directors of the New Kadampa Tradition.

Saturday 7 September – The Path Of Happiness • 10am – 5pm

Learn and experience the blissful preliminary meditations of Mahamudra and establish the foundation for supreme inner peace and wisdom.

Sunday 8 September – Essential Tantra • 10am – 5pm

Learn the final stages of Tantric Mahamudra – the quick path to attaining the sublime, unobstructed consciousness of an enlightened being.


Gen Kelsang Dornying

The teacher of this course is Gen Kelsang Dornying the Resident Teacher of both Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia and Kadampa Meditation Centre Melbourne. He is an inspiring and light-hearted modern Buddhist monk, with over 16 years teaching experience, who makes Buddha’s teachings clear, accessible and applicable to modern life.

Kelsang Shechog

The meditations will be guided by Kelsang Shechog, the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington. Shechog has dedicated her life to helping people solve their problems and find happiness through Buddha’s timeless instructions and is much loved for her gentle manner, inner strength and clear, skillful teachings.


$65 per day or $120 for both days (includes delicious vegetarian lunch).
