PLEASE NOTE: our branch drop-in classes are on break until the week of 24 August. We are offering weekly classes at the Centre in Island Bay ONLY during this break.
We are a non-profit Kadampa Buddhist Centre run by volunteers.
We are dedicated to providing opportunities for people to develop lasting mental peace through meditation and related practices.
You are welcome to take as much or as little as you wish from what is offered.
Classes are open to everyone from all faiths, and those who do not subscribe to any faith.
You do not have to be a Buddhist to take part in the programme or to benefit from it.
As a starting point, check out our drop-in meditation classes.
We can do this through training in meditation because meditation makes our mind peaceful.
When our mind is peaceful we are happy, even if our external conditions are poor.
Our goal is to teach you the skills of meditation, no matter what your initial experience level. By doing so you can personally experience the benefits of quietening the internal chatter of your mind.
