Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington is a registered charitable organisation (Charity #CC27862) dedicated to helping people find practical solutions to the problems of daily life through Buddhist philosophy and meditation.

We are a member of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU). This is a non-profit association of study and meditation centres dedicated to helping people everywhere find meaning and purpose in their lives, and to the developing of genuine inner peace and happiness.

You can also apply to be a resident at the Centre. All residents are responsible to cover their living cost and engage in a study programme.

Living at a Dharma Centre is the best way to put Dharma into action. Together we have the opportunity to engage in meditation practice, study modern Buddhism, and do meaningful volunteer work to help keep the Centre running.

Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington offers residence to suitable candidates who have successfully completed an interview and application process on a space-available basis. Applicants must be enrolled in one of the three Kadampa study programmes and complete at least three hours of volunteer work for the Centre per week. Residents are responsible to cover the expense of rent and share of utilities, meals, study programmes and other fees, and to follow the rules meant to ensure harmonious living within the community.

We are currently accepting applications. We have 1 room available starting 1 May, 2017. For more information contact the Admin Director at
